El kit de carcasa es compatible con el chasis intermedio GM de 1978-88. Reemplaza la parte trasera original de GM de 7.5" por la de Ford de 9", mucho más resistente. El kit incluye una nueva sección central fabricada, nuevos tubos de eje con extremos de rodamientos grandes, estilo Ford/Torino, ejes de 31 estrías con rodamientos y sellos instalados, perforados para pernos con 5 en círculos de pernos de 4-1/2" o 5 en 4-3/4".
