RCI-X9HP - Compact But High Powered 175 Watt Radio With A Classic Look And Feel.
** We're seeing 175 watts on our Bird watt meters tested at 14v, not the 200 watts shown on the box ***
Fresh in from Ranger is the brand new RCIX9HP! They took their compact X9 radio and made it bigger and badder. Now boasting 175 watts PeP and still fitting it all into a compact case similar to the Cobra 29 CB.
Compatible with ANY semi truck radio cutout! Unlike other compact 10 meter radios, the X9HP uses an all new internal fan design. This means there are no heatsinks sticking out of the back of the radio. Rather, on the bottom of the case there are two 3.17MM fans blowing out of the bottom. Ideally, you will want space below the radio for the fans to exhaust heat.
Massive output power with a 50 watt carrier and 175 watts modulation, this tiny beast will get you heard over long distance. Ranger has managed to pack all of the popular features most people want in a modern 10 meter radio. SWR meter with auto-calibration. Color changing faceplate with soft LED lights that are dimmable. Single sideband. Lots of power. Echo and talkback. And you get all of this while still only measuring in at 7.25" wide!
Due to the high power output, this radio requires at least a 25A power source. In vehicles, this means you need to wire this radio directly to the batteries. The stock power source provided is not sufficient.
