Perfect for listening at home, walking around, or on the go, this scanner does everything for everyone.

Is setting up scanners and listening to nearby police and fire departments your hobby? No?! Well that's okay! You don't need to know what "trunked" radio signal is, nor do you need to know what "APAC Phase II" is. The HomePatrol-2 picks up everything and knows what these things so you don't have to.
SCAN EVERYTHING ANYWHERE
As mentioned above, the HomePatrol 2 pre-programmed police scanner comes with a rechargeable battery pack and USB cable that can be used to recharge the batteries. But lets say you wanted to take the HomePatrol on a trip with you in your car, or truck. No problem, the Uniden HomePatrol 2 has an optional GPS scanner antenna kit that will automatically program the scanner as you drive! Remember that the only thing you needed to do was enter your zip or postal code? You can skip even this step with the optional GPS antenna kit. Just plug it in and now the mobile digital police scanner knows where you are and programs itself based on your GPS coordinates.
